As president of STIbenefits, John Sheley helps small businesses navigate through the complicated world of employee health benefits. With over 20 years experience in the financial services industry, he offers his clients guidance on all aspects of group and individual health insurance. Prior to founding STIbenefits, he served as Chief Financial Officer for The Landmark Group, a regional securities broker/dealer. John began his career at the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand specializing in audit, tax and financial consulting. . He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting and later obtained his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

John Tumlinson graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1979 with a BBA in Business. He attended school on a full baseball scholarship. He has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry and prior to co-founding STIbenefits, he served as an insurance adjuster in Houston. In addition to his insurance knowledge, John is an experienced and savvy businessman. Before entering the insurance industry, he owned and operated several successful small businesses. Active in his community, John has given countless hours to the Austin Sunshine Camps, the American Heart Association and various other not-for-profit organizations.
